Stranger in my bedroom (crash pic)

Tell us the tale!

Ok, so there I was, cruisin' in my '78 Ford Mustang II Mach I heading to school one fine snowy Denver morning. The road out of my neighborhood curves slightly just before your get to the main road.

Well, being young and stupid I had a nice amount of snow on my hood, and I enjoy watching it fly off as I drove. So, I go speeding off down the road, which is snow packed and has two ruts of slush where all the cars had driven. Speed is the optimal word here, about 5 blocks from the curve I was going about 50 mph.

I let off the gas to slow down so that I can take the curve. Start easing on the brakes. I start to turn the wheel, and keep going straight. Turn the wheel some more and keep going straight. Turn the wheel all the way to lock and go straight over the curb, through the first section of fence and the first backyard.

Slide through the second section of fence and into the second backyard where I also take out the two side supports for a small fort thing. Two 4x4's taken clean off at the ground and at the bottom of the fort.

I slide down the hill and onto the small tree which became a bush, caught my car, and I put a nice two foot sized hole into the side of the house. You could see the front end of my car in the basement of the house where I poked through.

The little fort thing ruined the fender on the left side of my car. The right side that went into the house was perfectly normal.

Some fence was found on the roof of the first house's backyard that I went through.

We were on accident alert at the time which means if there are no drugs, no alcohol and no injuries, the cops never show up.

I spent $500 to get a new fender for the left side, fix the flats that were caused by the fence posts, and I was good as new.

I found out this one really good way to really piss off your insurance guy.

as for these images being shopped? I dont' think so...I use and have been shopping for about 6 years....although this program is totally amazing and there is litterly nothing you can't do with it if you have enough time and knowhow....I just don't think or believe these are fake.

for starters we don't knwo how fast this person was supposedly going.....if you will notice, as I did, that ALL the houses around this one are the same....telling me this is some sort of developement.....which also tells me that they are probably NOT built to the ABSOLUTE best standards....Racer...you mentioned entering the house and hitting 5/8 ply....well we dont' know what that siding is...and the only thing that COULD have been on the inside is regular sheet rock, after all....we don't know where this took place...and their building standards could be entirely different than ours.

Photoshop Files agent #5617181 reporting:

1) The reflections of both the window light and incandescents look right.

2) Comparisons of the shot from the rear and the shot from the side (exit point) are close enough.

3) No "smudges" on key locations (around car, walls).

It is my concerted opinion that it is real. If it isn't, it's darn good.

Final observation: If it isn't real, I only wish they would have included a dead body in the living room.

Agent #5617181, out.

Damn, that was a good post. Brought a smile to my face. Thanks man

Yeah it's my opinion it ain't photochopped as well. Not to mention if it was it wouldn't be all that interesting - and I've seen this pic a ton of times, so I'm pretty sure it's real.

I think part of the story was that there was someone sleeping in the bed at the time of the crash, and as you can see the blue mattress in the pics, he was WRAPPED up in the mattress by the car, and was pinned in for a while until help arrived. Talk about a snug fit - Guess the subaru had it out for him, good thing only 2nd gen civics park next to MY porch.
