STOP SELLING YOUR MP3s

What the hell are you people thinking. You knew it wasn't the fastest car when you bought it. You got the car because it was 1 of 1500. You had the first car in a series that will continue for the next twenty years. Before you sell your car do a search for your first post. I bet it talks about how much you love your new car and how exited you were, and how good you looked in it. I take that back, your first post was to find out how to find your production number. BUT your second post was about how much you loved your car.

SO IN CONCLUSION. If you are selling your car. Do not come here and tell us. But if you insist on doing so, simply title a thread "Im a traiter" and leave the content blank.

yeap same here, not going to sell it either. make sure we have this thread in 5 years to mark my words!! :D

Still have mine, and even though it does have its weak spots, I still have a very cool, very limited car for very little money. To this day I still get all the appropraite stares, well worth the price of admission!

i never want to sell my car. i like her how she is now. just want some cam gears to play with the cams and will be happy with her. will i be fixing her up any more? Nope time for a new project , the mp3 is my daily driver. I need old school japanesse rwd to play with.

diddo freekwonder, our cars are not going to be super fast no matter what we do. And if we do decide to really fix it up; its too expensive. If you want a drag car, you buy a crx from a junkyard and get to work. We have an awesome drag strip where I live, and everytime I go i have people with 10 second cars coming up to me and telling me how good my car looks.

If I had more money, I would buy another car and just let the MP3 become a classic. My boyfriend thinks that would be going a little too far, but i love my car.

i couldnt agree more. i know my car isnt the fastest and will never be, so i wont be doing much work on it. once the stereo system is done...thats it. i put at least 80 miles a day on it so i need the gas mileage and the dependability. and it is very dependable to this point. i have 40,000 miles and have only changed the oil and a set of tires...i cant complain. to own a car that is 1 of 1500 should speak for itself...not many people can say that.
and the looks it gets are great...especially from the high school punks with thier civics (huge exhust tips and wings). later...

OK someone explain how that 1500 ment anything.
1. It had a suspension system that clunks and lost some of its ability in a year and now has been copied over 5000 more times.
2. It had nothing other then advanced timing and a muffler to add perfomance.
3. It had a kenwood system that was TERRIBLE! I ripped it out in 3 days.
4. Had a body kit you could buy and just put on.
5. Being limited only HURT its resale and trade in value.

I like tha car but reality needs to take the drivers seat here. $400/month for a car I always want to work on but don't ever have the time to is just to much of a pain in the ass. Not to mention I am growing tired of the import scene and every time I'm at a stop light some little chucklehead tries to rev at me.
It gets old.

For a used car for an 18 year old that's only paying $250 a month for is one thing but for me to fork over this much a month these days now that I have grown up and now have a morgage and some real resposibilites the car just doens't fit the anymore.
I want to give it to someone that can treat it the way I always have and appriciated it just as much.

I hear ya 1st. I bought mine second hand but I don't have many plans to make it faster. I don't see the need for that. I will get an intake and such, but while I was shopping for a new (used) car, I test drove Chevy Malibus and turds like that, so you can see how important this speed stuff is to me. I don't even know where the nearest track is. I fell in love with the way it looks, it was the cheapest 2001 I could find pretty much anywhere, and yeah, I love the way it looks. I never really noticed too many people selling theirs, unless for good reason like 1st. I only pay a little over 200 a month for this, almost half of the friggin insurance, but I love it. Anything's better than the 94 Dodge Shadow I was pushin before this. So you can mark my words, I'm not selling this baby for a long time, unless I get a good raise!!

i will never sell my car, simply because i have paid out so much a month, and put my personal touch on it. i will pay it off, do a full custom interior, and stereo setup...and just show it, but for now, it serves me well as a work truck during the week, and a fun-ass car to drive every other time.

Actually, they are coming up to tell you your car looks good, and to stare at your hooters. You women arent to bright ..... lol.

This is why I am looking to buy one, because I love that car, and all my friends are jealous of it, but unfortunately it may be ripped away from me :(

Ditto here. I used to love streetracing and all that jazz, but when you get older (26 now), priorities change bigtime and that need for speed slowly fades.

I know I don't have an mp3, but I'll probably be keeping my MP-DX for quite some time... 5 years at least.
