Most businesses start with a brick and mortar and venture out into the internet. ProtegeGarage has done just the opposite, and after almost 4 years strictly doing internet business, we're opening our 3,000 square foot shop and showroom very soon. As you can see, we're not even open and already filling the bays thanks to word of mouth;

We're don't have the doors officially open yet but are doing work by appointment. Feel free to call me any time on my cell to setup a time to come in. What does this mean for our internet business? Well...

- redesigned website with newer and better features and functionality
- new products and service offerings previously unavailable as just a web based business
- more on site employees to augment our current 'long distance' sales reps to directly answer phone calls and emails.
- automotive engineering graduates and ASE certified technicians on site to tune and work/repair your vehicle

Some services we will be offering;

- part sales and special ordering
- full range of installation services
- custom exhaust and weld work
- machine shop services such as head work, porting
- wideband diagnosis
- OBD2 diagnosis (yes, we have the equipment to read even the new CAN protocols on cars like the MS3 and MS6)
- engine management installation
- wideband engine management tuning

We are located at 755 Milwaukee Avenue in downtown Libertyville, IL 60048 across from the Metra Train Station and next door to Audio Consultants. We will officially be open for business in mid-April, with a grand opening event sometime in the near future.

Yeah I was there when the first coats of ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! were being applyed. The place is awsome. I will definatly try to come up there again soon.

Congrats! That's a big step, and awesome for you.

The owner of Performance Buyer's Club is a friend of mine. They were a big internet vendor of Miata stuff, and gradually moved on to install work, general maintenance, repairs, etc. Now they are still Mazda specialists, but they're doing general service work on anything and are up to 2 or 3 mechanics, and are making way more money than they ever did selling parts online. Pete found the money in the internet parts business was kind of drying up.

Anyway, good luck.
