*STOLEN WHEELS* On The Lookout

**** it im tired of waiting. lets just go over there and pull some A-team s*** and get yo wheels back FOOOOO!!!!

If you bother the crap outta him, he'll handle it. I'm sure its not on their "priority" list. But then again, its possible that they've already went by to have a look at them and havent told you anything yet. They'll have to interview this guy, then ask him to write a statement about it, then ask for the names of his accomplices. Its a long process guys, sometimes it takes a few days, sometimes it takes two weeks. Just call every few days to bug the detective on the case and then ask for an update.

Or give us his number and he'll start getting calls from all over the country.

"Hey, I'm a close friend of Chris Tyres, I believe you're handling a case involving his stolen wheels? Yes, well I was just calling to see if there was any update on the case"

Haha, 200 times a day, every day. That'll get his ass moving.

He'll be too busy answering phones to get around to my wheels.
I'm going to call him again in the morning.

thanks again miller, I installed my CAI and copied your method with the coolant bottle.

(rockon) No.. BIG thanks for the filter!
I used it. There was almost no room under the sedan bumper cover but I made it fit.

Agreed, it sucks.
bad? as in good? yes.
I have no idea why he would.. maybe he's too cheap tobuy them.
No one else could could buy them at the time without special ordering, now Kauffman has two identical sets... but no one has bought them.

hmm... it's a crappy day.. I bought the wheels one year ago to the date

so bascially this guy hasnt sold anymore of the wheels that you have, thus this is how you know that they are yours?

and im not understanding, were your tires bad as in no tread.... which is y he would replace? or were they fine and he could have replaced for no reason

the tires were new but it seems he(the guy who stole the rims) might have gotten the tires replaced because tires have serial no.s on them & could be tracked...so new tires....no way to track....

That and the curbing matches pics that I have.
My tires were brand new(2 weeks old)...
He probally replaced them because I have the serial numbers on them.

o i c, was unaware of sn on tires :)
so no word from det yet?

I talked to the detective..
He's going to try to talk to the owner of the car..
If the guy cannot give a definitive answer from where he "purchased" the wheels, he said that's all the evidence I need for small claims court.
I carfaxed the car, he's only had the car since the end of January... and I've had the wheels since July of last year... so if he say that he had the wheels for a year or two.. it's BS.

small claims court? Oh that sucks. I guess they cannot arrest him for possiession of stolen property if he does not show a receipt?

I certainly wouldn't want to have to carry receipts around of all my car parts just so I don't get arrested because some schmo decided I stole their s*** and I have to prove otherwise

im not trying to be a mo, but he could always say hes had the wheels fora year or 2 and they were on a old car or whatever....s*** just in his garage

I read the whole therad... did you ever have the car dusted for fingerprints at all?? I highly doubt they wore gloves doing it... get some fingerprints off the car and match them to any on those rims or the guys with the civic and you should be golden, also they should be able to match customer records at that tire place you spotted against the name of the guy and see if he had any tires done recently...
