Stock wheel/tire value?

Hey guys. You may have seen that I got a nice set of aftermarket wheels for my ride. So now I have a set of '02 LS 16" stockers just taking up space.

My thoughts are to either trade them for sell them for the money to get a decent 14" or 15" autocross setup.

My question is what are the stock wheels and tires roughly worth? I've only seen one set for sale at about $450... is that fair? I'm just trying to get a baseline for any offers that may come up. I don't want to screw anyone over, and don't want to get screwed over myself.

depends on the condition of the tires themselves..

used market is all over the place. I just bought a set of Konig Hurry's with brand new Toyo proxies on them for $200. You may find a buyer that's willing to pay $600. Look at the classifieds on Miata.net. they tend to be about 10% over what the norm is and go from there.

Thanks, I posted in the classifieds over there yesterday. I've already gotten at least 5 trade offers. Some want money on top of the trade, and some are offering money on top of the trade. Everything from Rota to Einki to 15" Stockers...

let me know how much you get for your wheels if it is a decent price i may go ahead and ream my tires to nothing by doing many donuts, rotate tires and repeat till they are gone. then buying the drags from where you got yours and selling mine on the miata forum
