I had my ecu flashed last friday and my O2 meter still says i am running rich?? I thought the flash was going to fix that.. My car does fell alot better thought. It gets up and goes below 4000 RPM now so i am happy....

Mazda didn't change the fuel maps, they just advanced the timing so compensate for the hesistation.

so does this mean that gas milage won't improve? I saw someone else post on here and say that after the flash they were getting about 50 more miles per tank?

Well it should actually improve a little bit. Since there is more power in the mid range it would require less input in the acclerator. This of course all depends on driving style and other variables.

i got 29 to the gal first tank after flash, was getting about 24-26. i ran it pretty hard after the flash. i still have a little bump of hesitation around 3500. no major deal though.

My wastegate tee connector was knocked loose at the dealer about three months ago and my car was out of control. I returned to the dealer and they found it. After the ECU reprogram I removed it to see what they did to the computer. If you pull the Vac/boost line off your wastegate you can only get 12.5 psi of boost max. Before I could hit 18psi. So Mazda did more than just a timing fix. Somebody else try it. I am back to stock at 6 psi. Car runs better overall.
