Ok I am planning on installing an Amp and a Basslink in my 6. How in the hell do you get the dash piece off to have access to the stereo? It seems impossible. Can anyone help?? (rockon)

go to the how-to link dats located in the mazda6/MAZDASPEED6 section...i think i remember seeing a detailed procedure for pulling the dash out...HOWEVER....I HAB ANOTHER QUESTION THAT INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW ABOUT....did mazda6 come out w/ an aftermarket dash kit yet? like the dash that allows u to install an aftermarket audio system? i want either da pioneer avic-n1 or alpine iva-d300 pulse technology system installed in my car....but everywhere i go dey tell me that no kit came out yet nd dat dey would hab to custom make one w/ fiberglass etc. which costs about $300 :( PLEASE TELL ME IF U GUYS KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS~!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (rant)

i beleive there is one: you'd have to buy it should you want to change you stock unit for an mp3 player made by pioneer which i believe is in din format...

i'm not sure about the part number but up here it's 35$CDN..

No. a line out converter is needed. Pepboys has them near the headunits, speakers, and antennas

There is another dash piece out but its one of those JDM sites so it's gonna cost

yeah, that one from mobilecarstereo would annoy me.. you'd lose the steering wheel controls.. I like them!

Yeah we all loose something to gain something...Racing seats for me means I have to get rid of the 8 way powered drivers seat :(
