not if I outbid you, just kidding

but I would be interested in a black air bag if anyone has done this or is going to do it

im pretty sure its quite illegal to do this for a street driven car.

just FYI.

i think that wheel is in greg's words "badass" but i would never replace that beautiful nardi wheel with that beautiful orange stitching...

i still need to fix the scratched emblem in the 2002 ES! thats why id buy Sloop's wheel. but maybe only for 50 bux, and he probably wouldnt sell it for that little.
bleh.

no airbag. If your car was equipped with an airbag you cant replace the steering wheel with one that does not have an airbag.

yeah, most drag strips wont let cars run if the air bag has been removed

I dont know bout that. But yes it is Illegal to remove the steering wheel. Plus the airbag saves you, why would you take it off?

I am afraid you are very wrong

I understand that airbags save lots of lives but the fact is that it is my car. who the hell is the national highway traffic saftey admin. to tell me that I cant change my steering wheel to one that does not have an airbag. That is a buncha :bs:

i could be mistaken but i thought as long as you had a harness system that it wasn't illegal, such as a 5 point. Someone also told me that in michigan it is not illegal, he may have been wrong, but oh well. I want to switch my steering wheel also for one that does not have an airbag, but i am also going to have a safetly system to make up for it, such as 5 point harness, and racing seats. I mean i don't see the problem if you want to put your own life at risk it should be up to you. Also i don't see what the difference is versus those who don't have airbags, such as the older muscle cars.

In Canada, or at least Ontario ... you are allowed to remove the airbag yourself, or a shop can do it if you sign some kind of waiver.

The only requirement is, you can't try and say that there is an airbag in the car when you have removed or disabled it (such as when selling the car).

This is applicable not only to changing the steering wheel, but if your airbags have deployed and you do not replace them with new working units for whatever reason.

That's a nice steering wheel. I think Corksport lists the normal price of them. You'll need a hub adapter to go along with it .. I think that one for a Miata should work.
