Here is the secret. Works for me everytime. When you exit the car grab something metal outside the car, such as the top of the door frame. While holding it put your foot on the ground. You shouldnt get a shock then.

LOL yea i know what you mean, i have a chain i wear to my pocket (for my keys and s***) and sometimes it gets cought there, its hillarious cuz i make an ass out of myself.

whenever my friends with baggy pants get out the passenger seat they catch their pants too. its funny, sometimes they eat it so hard.

that only happens cause of the dry weather, that will go away in the summer when the humidity comes back. I live in sunny florida and that only happens to me when we get one of our 1 day cold fronts. if it's dark and you think about it before you get out of the car next time, watch the spark jump from your hand, it makes it a little more bearable and it looks cool.

Actually ... an easy way to preven shock is to maintain a grip on the metal part of your car (ie: door frame, roof, etc) as you are getting out. There's a scientific explanation about why this works, but you prolly don't wanna hear it. heheh

I noticed the exact same thing. On my old mx-3 there was a ground on the inside of the door, that looked like a button and said "touch" on it. If I touched it I would never get a shock. I looked for something like that on the speed but didn't find anything.

my ex-gf had that on her car THANK YOU! for telling me what the hell that thing was for ROLF! i laughed at that every time i rode in her mx3

My solution is simple. I am going to wear dryer sheets all over me, 3M my seats (and myself) and touch the metal when I"m getting out and then touch the glass for no reason! J/K

Thank you all for the responses and Ideas. I will be 3m'in the car this weekend and I will carry that dryer sheet as well

( and to notorious and AndrewSilverMP5), that shock theory is awesome.. I use to play the shock game in H.S. when we did experiments w/ Static Electricty.... boy I pissed a lot of people off when I touched them after draggin my feet on a industrial carpet LOL

Just a hint. when you get out keep your fingers on the door (metal) then step on the ground. It was pissing me off too
