Alot of stuff comes into play. As for the wires and mounts, they definatly account for some, while some say the wires dont, the times show different). There is also temp and humidity hot days give a bit better grip, but sacrafice a little hp, when cooler days are great on hp but s*** for grip. (It was 66.2F the night I ran the 3 15.9's in a row)

Was the track prepped at all? (I doubt it from the time) The track was not prepped at all when I ran, and I expect a few more tenths shaved off on a prepped track.

What kind of wheel & tires? (17's most of the time slow you down) I had my 15' steelies with all season tires up front, with the tire pressure arround 16-18 psi (dropping it from stock pressure usually knocked off a .2 from the E/T)

& there is the "Driver" factor that accounts for some.
Hope it helps.

well it was full track prep at import face off... i had alot of wheel hop of the line, rollin on the stock 15 inch alloy's, and i have short shifter... i was commented on my driving... many people were vaery very impressed with how kwick my shifts were... maybe i do need some stupid motor mounts... and maybe those jdm spark plugs... the long reaches.... are only doing bad for my car? i dunno... all i know is i drove well... i just didnt have a time that reflected it... maybe i just need some practice... and it was like 80-90...

i'll try again soon.

You can tell how you drove from the slip & time, not really from how fast the shifts apeared to bystanders (The launch being alot more critical anyways)

The Shift are important, making them quick is important also and glad to see you shine there.

Launch is of GREAT importance and how you launch will effect the whole run....

Wheel hop will kill the E/T and motor mount upgrades allow you to really "Launch" the car, that should definatly help you a bit.

ONCE you get the wheel hop in check and get some launchs in with it in check, play with your tire pressure, that will save you another few tenths ( .2 for me).

after the launch is in order work on your Shift points, play with them to work to improve the time.

Other then that from your list your ride should be as fast if not faster ESPECIALLY on a prepped track. What was your 0-60? 1/8th e/t & mph with the 1/4 e/t & mph?
