Well basically the srt4 cheated, he used slicks, not to mention the srt4 red lighted.

Despite all that.

sr20 12.6 @ 115

Basically the srt only won because he had slicks. Lame if you ask me, especially how the guy is coming up with every excuse in the book as why steve was gaining so quickly on him past the 60 foot mark.

funny the guy still think he won a great battle here. Never mind he showed up with the wrong tires and left the staging area early.

The SRT-4 is the gayest car ever. I seriously hate everyone of those fags who drive them. SR20 forever!!!!!!

Honestly though. If you were going to kick the s*** out of some car wouldn't you want to run slicks. Mind you also that there were no rules that said slicks were not allowed. Also slicks KILL your trap speeds, they get you out of the whole fast, but after they kill your top end. When I ran on slicks I went 12.1@109 MPH. When I went on streets I went 13.001@119 MPH!!! Slicks owned me. Nuff said. And before you try and get hard, those runs were done on the same night WITH the proper amount of cool down.

The SRT-4 lost because of a red light. In all honesty the SR20 won that round. I give SR20 respect, but one of the AZ ones has never and will NEVER touch me.
 
well actually the rules of the challenge were no slicks, no nitrous, and no additional weight reduction. Its in a couple threads down. I'm well aware of the effects that slicks have on trap speeds, but usually its not as extreme as 10 mph.

i trap identical MPH, slicks or street tires. i have run a 12.9 @ 107 on my T25, and i hit a 13.4 @ 107 on street tires. i dont run slicks at 9 psi, as it doesnt help traction that much and kills my my top end. i usually run 15-20 psi, it also makes it less scary at over 120mph.

since i cryo'd/shotpeened my stock gearset, i have yet to break anything tranny related. this is with about 50 drag passes on slicks. so KMA. :D
