SR Motorsports vs Corksport

Alright all. Simple question..... Who makes the better exhaust system for the Protege sedan? Both have the same piping (2.25') and close to the same price (SR=399.00 + shipping; Cork=389.00 + oversized item shipping). Im probably going to get one of the two. Which is better and yields the better gains with a hi-flow cat and OBX header (when the 1.6 liter comes out)?

More than likely, I'll get the OBX header and then match it up to one of the systems. Or should I get the header that SR Motorsports offers and match it up with their exhaust system?

i have no experience with SRmotorsports but they seem to overprice their stuff. I have also seen that exhaust in person and I dont like it very much... I had the OBX header at one point and the quality was really nice. Corksport is also great to deal with and their exhaust system looks good also. I own som ecorksport parts and quality seems to be 100% top notch..

From what I've heard(not literally), if you run a header and the corksport together, even with the silencer, you had better have some earplugs. But I wouldn't know first hand.

yeah im sure it will be loud, but i think you will get the most HP because corksports exhaust gets rid of the midpipe and replaces it with a catless one..

which corksport one do u mean? I didnt know they sold a 2.25" cat back?

any bigger than 2.25" and you'd probably lose alot of midrange power, unless you've a few mods like bigger cams. the 1.6 wouldnt push out enough exhaust gas to justify a larger pipe and would make the flow slower

I'm probably goin 2" custom mandrel bent.
