squeeky seat? anyone? anyone? bueller? bueller?

ok so I've been having this problem lately... my driver seat squeeks from underneath when I go over bumps. I took it to the dealer yesterday, but I couldn't duplicate it in front of anyone. anyone else have this problem ever? we had a "cold snap" when it started so maybe it has something to do with lower temperatures?

are you absolutely sure it's actually the seat? the only reason i ask is that i've been fooled myself a number of times as to where my squeaks are comin from...+_+;

oh, and i'm completely with you on the "cold snap" thing, cause it's gotten cold up here, and the squeaking/creaking has been coming out of places i didn't know cars could make noise! (eek2)

well it happens when I wiggle the right way too... it's either the seat rail or the seatbelt I think. not really 100% sure, but it's definitely something inside.

and by the way, by cold snap, I mean it's been in the 70s. I love florida.

Move the piece your seat belt attaches to. It's rubbing against the leather and center console. Drove me nuts after I bought the car.

I get squeaks too sometimes. I think it's coming from the seatbelt, I'd start there.

My seat belt squeaks also. Dealer put some oil in the clasp mechanism, was quiet until i was far enough fromn the dealer not to turn around. I don't know what to do..

Mine is the seat belt to the leather also. Or atlest some thing to do with the seat belt but I just move it up or down when I hear this and it stops.

get some synthetic grease from pepboys and just grease up the seat rails yourself! also, hit up home depot and grab some felt pads for the panels in the car. this weekend, i'm going to be going nuts padding things down in my car, because i'm sick and tired of all the creaks and rattles!!!! (argh)

My squeak comes from my parking brake area.. DAMN.

i went to dealer to day for my OBD-II recall, loose swaybar endlink, possible broken lumbar support and drivers side seat creak and passenger side seat looseness. deal confirmed possible lumbar support issue and drivers side seat creak. called Mazda corp and they said seat much be torn down and inspected first so far i am supposedly the first person to complain of this. i highly recommend that anyone with the same issues to report to Mazda US and or dealer. i could not leave my car for them to tear down my seats so when i get this done i will update you all.

I had the same thing. Just spray a little WD40 into the buckle mechanism and around the bolt.
