My brakes are squeaky already. I only have 2214 miles on it. Does any one know why?

Hmmm I have just started to notice mine squeak very intermittantly the last few days and I only have like 5000 K on it

what year model is your car? i think the dealer replaced some rotors on the 04' models...

I never had to do it, but if it bothers you alot than you can take it in to stealership.

my 05 GT just started squeaking today, coincidentally today is the first snow fall, and the first day below 0....

i'm just putting 2 and 2 together here, but once they warmed up a bit the squeaking stopped, it took about 2 mins for it to stop sqeaking...

i've seen our rotors get a small coating of rust as soo as it gets humid or rains. as the rust came off it sounded fine.

I left the country for two months and when I came back my rotors were rusted like crazy and they squeaked for a week. Stopping was really rough as well. Once the rust was gone they were good again.

may have to look at getting aftermarket rotors when i go in to get my brakes done....i want to get aftermarket low dust pads as well, especially for the back....

yeah the rust on our rotors is horrible. i say check with Ken (protegegarage.com) or steve (nsn motorsport) for rotors and breaks. i got crossed drilled rotors and ebc pads from steve and he got me a good deal with a quick turnaround.

i hope protegegarage.com opens again soon....site has been down for a while....

yeah, i've been thinking about crossdrilled rotors, my buddy just put them on the back brakes on his ride, they look sick...i think i've heard about those EBC pads before, those are the ones that come in 3 colours, red, yellow & green right?

yeah depending on the color it is a different compund. green is the most street friendly. after that they are more for the strip than anything.

more for autocross auctually.... who needs brakes at the strip??? pull the parachute release lever.... (rofl)

After I wash my car and before I finish drying it the rotors are all rusted...

Ditto. Must be the cheapest steel known to man.

My brakes have squealled since it was new, when cold and/or damp. Now that its gotten colder, its an every day occurance. Thing is, its not a minor squeak, is a loud shrill squeal. It can be heard in the house and throughout the neighborhood.

I took it to the dealer for the 2nd time for this today, with no fix. Being a Jan05 build my car alledgely has all the upgraded parts. The servcie guys just don't get it. I'm not being picky. For a new car, it is unacceptable; and frankly embarrassing.
