After a long nasty winter, with a few trips in some horrid weather, my mani/DP took a beating. All the salt and wetness hitting the hot manifold caused my manifold to not be purdy anymore. I decided to pull the whole setup off today and clean/buff the whole thing. Also fix a small exhaust leak that i couldnt seem to find. Took a little longer then i thought to get it off, but it finally came off. I will probally be re-installing tues or weds. I Spent the afternoon watching comedy central, while buffing away. :)

here are some pics of my progress. Sorry for the huge pics.. i need to resize the setting on my camera

Sweet, looks a hell of a lot better already. I'm gonna polish mine up again soon.

Looking good! :) Kooldino, what's going on with that dyno meet? I want to have my car dynoed very soon and was probably going to get it done at TurboTrix in Hp. I can ask them about a group deal if any1 else would be interested.

how long did it take you to do everything?
longer then i expectred.. took about 2 hrs just to get it off the car. Some of the bolts are tucked very tightly behind the mani, and took some problem solving to get to. I spent another 3hrs while watching tv in my basement buffing away, and if i wanted i could spend some more time, but i wont. Gonna start putting everything back together tonight, then reinstall it tomorrow.

some new pics from today.. got everything back on and running :)

u know alotta stuff man did u learn all by urself or what? :)

btw, about the last pic of the turbo, is that which makes the psshoooo sound?

PAUL!!! Thats just great man! At least you know where to put your spare time, unlike me just going to the race track (dunno) hehe.

Damn, no hate, just love here! (thumb). Good work Wagner. You should get a Tial wastegate when you get some extra dough. ;) You just gave me an idea where to hook up my oil pressure sender for my Nordskog gauge. How does it do with the heat by the turbine, and how good are the readings there?

Trust me, if you get boosted, you will learn! YOU MUST!! I can pretty much take any part of my kit off really fast, and put it back on with no problem. I took off my FM Bypass Valve and checked today for leakage. The piston was in good working order with no signs of getting stuck open. (thumb)
