Tokico illumina set

Can anyone give me any feedback on the illumina strut set that comes with springs? It seems very appealing to me since everyone seems to talk very highly of the illuminas, and the springs are designed by Tokico for the struts? I am also replacing the rear sway and all the end links with Anthony Woodward stuff. The only thing I'm having hell finding are the polyurethane bushings. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry if I am double posting. (This forum is GIGANTIC.)

Im really thinking about buying some new springs to get the ride and drop I want. Im looking at the ground control coilovers, and skunk2 COIL SPRINGS. A few things I wanna know though yo.

Ive been reading the skunk2 coilvers clunk. Do the ground controls clunk?

I observe others with coilovers. they seem to hop and bounce and jounce all over the place. this is because of bad shocks?

Do these type of coilovers boil your shocks out fast(like i read about skunk2 coilovers) cauing the bounce?

Also there's somebody with a black p5 i for got his name, he has skunk2 or ground control coilovers i think, and they didnt fit over his KYB struts, which i have at the back. which one is it that doesnt fit over the KYB?

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

hmmm not sure but the ground controls are good. Had to remove the caps on my blues to fit the sleeve over the strut. I get some clunk in the front. Whats cool is i can lower/raise the car as i please. The ground controls can go lower than ur strut/fender well clearance will allow.

Anyone have info on the Tokico springs? Been looking around but other then a variable number on the drop I can't find what spring rate or solid drop number is.

Tokico claims a drop of 1.25" all around, but njaremka got 1.5 front, 1.75 rear for his sedan, ends up looking pretty even and tasteful.

i dont know if some one noticed but on the chart , the Tein Stech for the pro5 , the drop is listed as 1.5F ; 1.8R .... ? lower in the back ... i think it should be 1.8F ; 1.5R ?

the first number spring rate on the progressive coils is the rate when all the helper coils are compressed, and the second number is for the main coils?

not sure which are the stiffer ones, but yes, it goes from softer to harder

bump. besides my first ? above, Can anyone tell me about the dampening of Ground control coilovers with stock/kyb shocks, and how long they will last before it completely crap out? Id really hate the high speed bouncing that i see on other cars with either cheap coilovers, or cut springs.

im also looking at eibach sportlines

well, if you go with GCs w/ stock or crap KYB replacements, you're going to get exactly the bounce you hate seeing. You need at least illuminas to hold on to those things

Regardless of whether they are crap or not, I severely doubt the KYB's can handle the Groundcontrol coilovers. Get either some Illuminas, or the Tokico Blues, or you'll look like a kangaroo on one too many RedBulls.

Look for some lightly used ones if money is an issue. If you can't afford / find them, I'd suggest going with a different setup entirely, the spring rate is just way too high on the stock GC springs for crap struts to handle.

i gotcha. the gr2 r what i have. there pretty tight, at least with my current evotion springs. Im still not sure whats with the first and second numbers.

this is the spring rate ive found for the evotion springs from the toronto page.

245Lbs/Inch & Rear - 171Lbs/Inch. Feels like it cud be over rated to me, but ive never rode/ had any other springs.

Am i the only one still alive?
