Sport suspension package?

Can you find out what else is different, and all the part numbers, please? :D

Seriously though...different endlinks, what else? It seems to me that different sway bars would be in the equation as well...maybe different shocks? What does the package entail?

well i think it was a smidgen lower. i know when i put the msp springs on my car way back it didnt lower it but like a quarter inch visually.

OK, so we got different springs if lower, tokicos instead of the kybs, & diff endlinks? WTF, how has none of this come up before, like in the last 6 yrs of everything posted up in here? Somebody just summon TheMan & get this straightened out already. IMO, they all have sport suspension, some just may have sportier suspension now it seems? Beyond just FYI, doesn't really make a s*** tho. Doesn't mean you're gonna get 5k more just because of it but yeah, just for the record, what does the whole "sport suspension" package consist of? I know my sportierest suspension consists of Progress rr sway, mx-6 rr stb, AWR trailing arms, oem (non-sport?) endlinks, Tokico illuminas, GTSpec fr stb & espelirs.

What is this all about? I have never heard of factory sport suspensions before!!!

I woulda figured this woulda been everywhere!

yeah, never heard of this

are we sure its not just people adding better suspension elements and then selling it?

I'm pretty sure I didn't have the sports package. My stock ride was harsh as balls though. I loved it!

when i ordered my endlinks from advance they asked if i had the sport suspension or not. i know mine does have the sport kit and that the sport rear endlinks are shorter. the ones that advance ordered me first where the non-sport and they didnt come close to fitting. the couldnt get the sport ones tho i had to get them off line. i wish i knew what was the exact difference.

They also ask if you have the turbo version or not

im sure they did but i cant really remember to be honest. i know they asked if it was a mid year, auto or stick, and the engine size, basically asking ruling out turbo or not (unless they did a 2.0 turbo) im still learning up with mazda

The Mazdaspeed Protege's are teh same motor we have just with a turbo mounted on, so, yeah, it's got a 2.0 turbo with a whopping 40 more hp

But seriously, this is the first i have heard of the Pro5's having different suspensions

In all the year comparisons, the interiors were the options, leather or cloth, 6 disc changer with 6 speakers, or single with 4....sunroof or no

never anything about sport suspensions

why would the endlinks be shorter in the sport model suspension? maybe this could denote something else that is different with the suspension. suspension is not my forte haha

after messing around on onlinemazdaparts.com I came across a stabilizer bar for a sport suspension. which is interesting, but i have to wonder if they are simply referring to the mp3 sway bar. (hmm)

Honostly, that woulda been my guess.

MP3 and MSP suspension parts...but, if they go by vin...i am curious

I had the Fieldbreak suspension on mine!

I'm pretty sure you guys are smoking crack!

The Tokico blues have the endlink tab in a different location that requires different endlinks than what are used in p5's and lx's.

i just find it funny we just now, 5-7 years after these cars have been out, this is the first thread about a sport suspension

no, my blues went on without needed new endlinks...

trust me, if people are being told by VIN they have the sports suspension package, then there is a sports suspension package.
i distictly remember my black stockers had tokico on them. however i am unsure of what should come otherwise.

I don't doubt you!!

I just find it odd noone here was aware of it, even searching through threads back from 02-04, nothing.....
