Sport Exhaust??

Does anyone here have the sport exhaust option from the dealer on their P5?? I have been talking with Trussville Mazda , and I'm really close to ordering one now. I just want to make sure it is not raspy at all. I am mainly looking for a slightly deeper tone with little or no resonance at highway speeds. I've heard also that the sport exhaust sounds similar to the racing beat rear section on the MP3...Does anyone know?? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The sport muffler has a great sound no raspy at all....no honda fart pipe sound if ya know what i mean. Let me know what they are charging you, i can probally do ya better.

So far trusville says it will sell for $196.35 plus $29.00 UPS ground. I think I can get it a little cheaper from mazdastuff.com (~10 dollars or so). Let me know if you can do any better... Thanks!

I put mine on Thrsday afternoon. It is a bit loud but nothing too bad. I ordered mine from Mazdaparts.com and it was 205.50 shipped. The shipping should only be about $10. If the dealer is telling you it is more they are trying to make a buck on you.

Anyways, do you notice if yours resonates at highway speeds? I am just looking for a little more aggressive tone under throttle and at slower speeds with no droning on the highway. Sorry for all the questions, but I've had a "performance" exhaust on a four cylinder car, and trips would make me go nuts because of all the buzzing/humming noises from the back of my car. Anyways, thanks for the input!

I usually cruise at 80mph on the highway and it is not too bad if you are just cruising at that speed. How ever it is noticable if you are into the throttle at that speed. When I first put it on I was unsure about it but just a few days later It is great, I am used to exhaust again and it looks good since it is polished.

Yeah, the loud part I can deal with, but the resonance I can't.
Hell, my truck (see below) is loud enough to set off car alarms from ~75 yards away, but has no raspiness or popping at all, just real deep, powerful sound.

I was supposed to get the Sport Exhaust but my dealer messed up and put the MP3 exhaust on my car! That exahust is made by Racing Beat and although it looks nice and sounds nice, it sticks out too far past the bumper. Still trying to get the dealer to get me the right exhaust.

I HEARD THAT THE SPORT EXHAUST ARE ALL BACKORDER IN ALL THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO HIGH DEMANDS AND THAT THEY WONT START SHIPPING TIL THE 16th of April. HAS ANYONE HEARD THE SAME. I ORDER MY EXHAUST ON 04/02/02 AND I'M STILL WAITING.

Yeah okay, enough with the capslocks. What do you guys think of the racingbeat.com muffler? I just pre-order one, and apparently it's better than the MP3 muffler because they replaced the midsection of the piping too and widened for peak hp. I just don't want a rice cannon (bullet) muffler, and this one looks stainless and sleek.

Yeah I do admit if I didn't have the money I'd probably go with the bosal - JIC-magic.com is coming out with a good one, but it's more expensive than the bosal catback, not to mention, I like the bosal better anyways.
