Splits fitment question?

Hey folks,

Thanks for all the help with my previous post. I have another question in relation to speaker size. Have read up about it on your forum and it says that 5x7 and 6.5's fit the Mazda 3. I have an 08 base model and have purchased these speakers which are 6.0". Any ideas if they will or will not fit and if so how?

You'll need some kind of adapter plate. Probably have to make your own out of thin wood because I haven't seen any 6" to 6x8" adapters. There are lots of 5 1/4" and 6 1/2" to 6x8 plates though.

I'm a noob at this and have no idea what kind of a plate I need to make. Any pictures of what other plates may look like and where they can be purchased?
