Speed6 cruise control inop

Need help here ,any mazda techs ,my problem ,i have a o6 speed6 my cruise control does not work ,on/off switch works as per guage display but when a try to set speed it will not set or even show on display ,just want to know if these mazda have the manual system of flashing a code [morse type code system long flash ,short flash ] if so how do i perform this ,vehicle out of warranty ,so cheap fix is the way i want to go firstly ,thanks

Neutral safety switch bad/needs adjustment? Also check Cruise Control fuse.

Thanks for reply ,note i do not see a cruise control fuse on this model ,will check for switch but note my brake light switch & bulbs are good ,is there a way to test brake pedal switch ,will do some testing on wiring & components ,when time permit .

Had some time to work on it found the problem been the brake pedal switch malfunction on the ' circuit section of the switch [A] circuit was fine ,note brake switch is a continuous monitored switch by the PCM ,perform repairs ,[replace switch ] check function during test drive ,system works now as intended ,thanks to zoomzoom06 for your reply ,good looking out .

My cruise control works in every gear except 4th and 6th.

Anybody have any clue? No check engine light or anything

thats a tricky one ,just a question y would u want to try using cruise on lower gears other than 6th ,puzzling one indeed but if it was in 6th gear alone u may have a bad brake light switch like i did, note this switch is divided in 2 parts A & B & it is continuously monitored by the PCM ,so your brake lights will work fine ,but your cruise function will not .just my 2 cents take it for what its worth .also this will not set a check engine light but will set a code in the PCM ,if u check & find a code erase it & then check the cruise function after clearing it should work untill code reset again .

Does your cruise control turn off when you depress the clutch? In the gears that it works obviously..
