I am doing a pretty long list of mods all at once on my MSP, including upgrading to a Speed Steed mani and a gt28 turbo. The problem that I have come across is that both the turbo and mani have threaded holes to mount to each other. Also, one of the holes on the mani is only accesable from inside the mani, and is not a through hole on the turbo. So, this bolt would have to be installed inside the mani going down into the turbo. This obviously isn't a huge problem, I was hoping any members that have done this set up could let me know how they handled this and post pics if they have them.

The steedspeed is probably designed to use studs, the turbo should not have threaded holes on the inlet flange, I have never seen that before.

This is correct, then again I have a v2 steedspeed mani. Maybe v1 was threaded.

drill out one of them, use studs on the other. the side thats easier for you to apply the nuts to said studs. its possible you just got the wrong turbo for the application as well. im sure there are different applications of the gt28rs and one of them might have a threaded turbine housing.. did you buy it used? maybe the p/o threaded it for whatever reason.

Yea, I bought the turbo with 800 miles on it off of a bike. Thanks man.

1- Do NOT drill the manifold, drill the turbo.
2- That's a large turbo for a small displacement like a bike.

I drilled thru the trubo and mani as needed. 2 of the bolt holes can be used by putting a bolt thru the mani, down into the threaded turbo. Then I drilled one hole out on the turbo and put a bolt going the other way. I have not figured out forth hole (the bolt would have to go inside the mani and down into the turbo.--basicly I cannot put a bolt in it).

Do you have any pics of your steedspeed + gt2860 combo?
