Check it out! The new clutch and flywheel are here!

Now comes the questions, should I gather the LSD parts and have it all installed at once or just get the clutch and flywheel installed?

mmmm, thats sexy! is that the stage 2 spec? i wish i had more money. i just dropped a grand over at DG motorsports. c/f ram air hood, c/f grill, and c/f eyelids. nice purchase man. personally i would wait till you have the lsd together and do it all at once. save time on labor. would have said money but looks like you will do it yourself. and in that case if you have free time then just do it. let us know how it feels!

I say also wait but if your anything like the rest of us where you cant wait, you can always add it later. (wink) (cool)

I am into waiting, but I am not sure I will have the funds soon to do the LSD. Just spent a lot of green on the clutch, flywheel, and new rims (coming soon) :) So waiting till spring to do the clutch and flywheel, not a problem. Waiting till maybe summer or fall to do it all, not a chance.

It is a Stage 1 clutch.....I am N/A and not looking at forced induction all.

Thanks all for the info...

Yeah, I got it at RR. Took about a week and half to get. Not a very prompt person on delivery.

I certainly can not fault your choice of clutch... I really like Spec clutches myself, and have a stage III hybrid.

but why doesn't anyone get the SPEC flywheel to go with it? I mean, its roughly the same price, and its designed to go with SPEC clutches...

See before I bought the fidanza, I asked around if anyone had one. Got no answers, so had to choose what i know is good.

i have the fidanza. it is good. rr-racing was prompt with me. hmm :(

Which LSD? Mazdaspeed or Quaiffe? I'd love to get a Quaiffe setup but w/o going through Mazdamotorsports.

Are you doing the install yourself? I'd love to go the same route but the $400+ labor prices scare me.

BTW, looks like I don't have a clutch issue per se any more. It feels like more that my shifter rod "chatters" when launching due to the front AWR motor mount and the Corksport bushing/Kartboy bushing/B&M shifter combination. I was under it on Sunday and didnt' see any issues though....I'm still suspicous of that front GT Spec tie bar...

Not sure which LSD I would get. Heard good things about the Quaiffe.

Probably have it installed professionally. Unless I can get entire weekend off, a warm garage, and a some help doing the install.

I think the original MSP LSD (welded for strength of course) is probably the best one made for our cars.... so if you have one, take it out and "fix" it before it breaks and you have to replace it...

the "new" Mazda replacement sucks by comparison

of course the quaife is nice, but at twice the price.....
