sparco knob problem

i bought the sparco techno shift knob when i first bought the car, then i bought the kartboy short shifter a little later. the knob fit snug for awhile, but then it became rediculously loose so i took it off. it came with the plastic inserts and the screws. problem is, i can't use the screws because the shifter is too short to tighten them and the plastic insert doesn't do the job. what can do to keep that s*** tight. thanks.

No i believe loctite won't work cause the shift knob doesn't screw on to the kartboy lever, so he had to use allen screws and the plastic insert to tighten it onto the lever. I have the same problem, and am in the process of looking for some industrial strength tubing that my friend used under his shift knob. Its stronger than that plastic insert thing, and it won't come loose after you jamit all on there.

gotta question, does sparco tecno knob fit on stock p5 shifter? if so how does it look compared to the stock knob? i mean obviously the knob looks better but does it look longer, shorter, ridiculous, etc?

it looked nice as hell. it's about the same height, but alot skinnier and i got the blue mica p5 and the techno blue knob, so it looked sweet. got to watch out though, if it's hot out it gets slippery or if your hands all sweaty it might be hard to shift fast.

it comes with the screws and plastic adaptors for the shifter, but when the knobs is flush with the washer in the boot, there is no way to screw the screws in. you can screw them in near the threads of the shifter, then push like hell to make it flush, but who wants to do that.

yeah it fits, but the plastic support that holds the knob on didn't grip as good as it should. i love it and it looks 100 times better then stock and most knobs out there.
