Dont know where exactly this is supposed to go, but I had to share it, last night was leaving a party and the whole time I was there a couple guys kept bitchin about those of us in "them ricerockets" and how nobody wanted real cars anymore, we must be scared. Leavin town the 2 with the most mouth pulled beside me at the light in a camaro RS an started hammerin the gas, I realized that as soon as the light turned he was gonna try spinnin out of there so i slipped it over to 1st( an auto p5!) an nailed it on green, an left him sittin there smokin, donno how far it would have gone but I made it thru 2 stoplights ahead of him before the 3rd caught us red, the cars behind us saw it all , i turned on light to go home, but a friend just called to let me know the guy was at a bar last night tellin everone how he" broke traction" is why i got ahead so fast an the light was all that saved me (moon) ..but its goin all over town how a.umm uh.. "musclecar" got spanked by a 4cyl automatic mazda bonestock no less..not countin the K&N filter
i gues I should have been intimidated, what with all his custom touches from the 3 inch truck exhaust comin from the 305 to the custom #3 graphics all over the windows

Noice...you should feel what it's like doing that in a MSP. Most of the rednecks have no clue that it's turbo, and with the injen on it, they'll hear the angry whine by the time I go into second. It sounds so mean in first...hehe. Nice job showing that idiot, though! The key is to enjoy what you drive, and it doesn't seem that he can comprehend that other people believe that V6 Camaros or Mustangs shouldn't exist...V8's are a different story, though.

freaking awesome dude, i beat some rednecks last night in my p5. they had a suped up Z28 they said could run 11s, so i laughed in their face and said lets go cowboys. little did they know that i recently had a custom turbo kit put on, you should have seen their shiny red faces light up when i opened up my wastegate a blew past them with a quick whooosh from my blow off, hell yeah dont mess with us redneck boys. yee-hah!!

(2thumbs) its only gotten better, the guy drivin works with a friend of mine an hes goin round tellin everbody that the lil black car that got him had nitrous...which is cheatin ya know, it aint speed unless it comes from the motor...which is a pretty common complaint around here from people with slow cars that lose races. (naughty) From what i hear a bunch of people are really raggin the dude over my car bein bone stock plus an AT....I cant really brag since it was his stupidity( tryin to smoke me down) that let me jump him.....so Im keepin my mouth shut an lettin everone else f*#k with him!

Indeed, the late 80's early 90's Camaro RS and even some of the older Z28s with the 305 were such a joke. I used to spank them all the time with my Mustang 5.0 hatch and it was fun to play with the IROCs too.

Later on after I got a 1990 Beretta GTZ and some redneck chump with a Camaro RS started revving on me. I was like "what a big man, picking on a poor little Beretta." I ended up smoking him from stop light to stop light three times. Later on I was at a gas station getting my MD fix and he came tearing in. I was like great he wants to fight over this give me a break.

He ended up rolling up and said something like, "Damn, I didn't know them thar vee-sixes were that quick." I responded, "They aren't. That's why I got the four cylinder." I ended up having to pop the hood an show him to make me believe him. He ended up not being that bad of a guy. Just a little too delusional about the actual power that 80s GM V8s actually had.

I think that was the night when I started finding the idea of getting as much power out of a small engine as possible more appealing than the bruteforce of a V8. It just took me a couple of years to start buying cars from the right country.

they are a joke,i know i had two(was 16 didnt know any better)the rs 305 v8 has like 160 hp/210 tq or some s*** like that.the z28 efi had like 190 hp,s*** the fastest one was the 91-92 z28 with the venerable 350 v8 w/240hp in a car that weighs like 3500 lbs THEY SUCK
