Source for speaker lug connectors

Hey gang,

just purchased some JBL speakers for my 2002 Protege 5 to replace the stock POS speakers, and I've some to discover that JBL does not include any speaker wire with connectors like Pioneer, Blaupunkt and others do. Anyone have a good source for these connectors and the sizes needed? Does Radio Shack carry them? Circuit City? BestBuy? Walmart?

Thought someone in Protege land might know without me having to scour the countryside in Xmas shopping traffic.....

Thanks in advance.....

another connector question

Hey there,
thanks for the reply on the female spade connectors, RadioShack did have them.

Got another question for you if you don't mind: I'm got a Alpine 7894 to replace the headunit on my Pro5, and picked up a 10 ga. Amp kit also to hook it up to the battery for the Vdrive. Question I have is what interconnect I can use to hook up the 10 ga to the 16-18 gauge wire on the back of the Alpine?

Thanks in advance,

Frank

huh? for the amp, the 10ga. need to go from batt. to amp batt. slot(you'll need to put the fuse in there, bout 10" from the batt.)...take the blue remote wire from the back of the alpine extend it(get a 15' piece of blue 16ga wire and tap on),run that to the remote sllot on the amp, take a black 10ga ground wire, place into ground slot on amp,and ground to vehicle.THEN.,place the fuse in the fuse holder you installed 10" from the battery in the 10ga power line.and your ready to install your box..you need to know how many ohms your amp is stable at,and what the speakers ohm rating is to get maximum sound, with out that, your just wasting time and money..hope i answered your question,(if i understood correctly)
