I installed my thunder header and I love the Look and throttle response, but I hate that it sounds like a Honda now. I've had a custom 2.5" welded Cat back for about 2 yrs and it sounded great. Very deep not throaty at all, but now with the header I'm getting that honda gurgle at full throttle. has any one else run into this? I'm thinking about having a mid pipe made up with 2 cats to cut back on the sound...

once you change the headers it will get LOUD. but hwta exactly is your exhaust setup past the headers. so we can help you out a bit more

Yup, that's what a header will do to your exhaust. It makes it a lot more raspy.

maybe an msp catback or a really expensive one will, my corksport "testpipe" full 2.4' exhaust gets ricey in high rpms too

The Midpipe is still stock, but after that it's a custom 2.5" one piece.

I took it out for a long drive today, and I'm starting to be less and less concerned with it, I like the feel with the header too much to restrict anything right now. Although I will probably have a midpipe made up to make sure I pass emissions inspection.

Yeah, that's what I'm going through now...I need to get another exhaust w/ a resonator installed since the shop that did my "custom" work did a crappy job. I'm rollin' around with a hi-flow cat, 2 1/4' pipe and no muffler!!!!
