im getting 2 grand when my bank CD is done on feb 14th and i decided what im going to buy
i test fitted 225/45/17 falken azenis sports on my stock wheels and they fitso im buying those tires and getting them heat cycled because then they should last 50% longer.

then im buying the camber plates from flyin' protege. and im going to run 1.5 degrees of negative camber and im not sure how much caster...

but my car should handle like a god.

if any of you fellow auto Xers have suggestions on caster settings let me know...

Why not scrap the tires and get a fully adjustable suspension? That would be better for auto crossing I'd assume.

i dont run in a stock class b/c of my exhaust and my intake but i dont run sts either i like to run dsp.. b/c i have better chances at trophies.. and it worked once but i was co-driving my buddies neon... i even beat a racer that was featured in Racer Magazine..

so i dont care about the class as long as im not in stx.... i thought of getting adj. suspension such as the Mazdaspeed struts.. but i dont think they would be as much of a benefit as falkens... plus the MS Adj struts cost too much .. id rather save for JIC's

If you're gonna run a street prepared class, you should get smaller, lighter wheels for racing. I'd go with 15"s and put the $50 Azenis on those. Save a bunch of money and about 15 pounds a wheel.
Also, I thought we were FSP. Is it DSP? The rulebook has all Proteges in FSP and has no listing for the MP3 that I've seen anywhere else. Just checking.
Also, did you check the 225s on the car? I was told they rub bad. If not, I'll probably be going STS next year (and adding Camber Plates) once my race rubber wears out.

maybe it is fsp but saginaw region let me run dsp a cuple times... i dont like the boatload of people in sts....

225's are not a problem ... i dont know who you heard from that 225's rub a lot... but that is wrong....

i have 225/45/17 Dunlop Winter M2's on my car and they only slightly rub when i turn it to full lock right and left ... other than that there is no rubbing at all..... and ive had them on since oct...
