Just got back from the Drag track. First time going Ever.
I did 4 runs

My reaction times were

my shifting was good, i didnt miss any gear nothing

Car has
SS AFC
Turbolife
Relocated maf
lighter rims (12lbs)

so my question is, shouldnt i be able to get close to the 14's rather then low 16s? A few things that are holding my car back ATM. I have 2 cracks in my exhaust mani, and my AFC is not tuned very well. WOT = 10.0:1 AFR.

Could those 2 things be causeing my to lose give or take 2 seconds.

How much boost? That's about what I did with my car when I took it this last time with my mods. What clutch do you have? I didn't run mine like I could have, but didn't feel like killing my clutch either since it's just the Stage 1.

IMO sometimes, depending on the amount of mods, it feels like the AFC can hold you back.. like you're trying like hell to get the power out of it, you know it's there, and you just can't get to it.

my car does the exact same thing. i've never taken it to a drag strip but it's obvious that my A/F ratios are horrible and are holding the car back. at WOT they dip beyond what my wideband reads (20 max, 10 least) and you can feel it holding back to the point that it goes nowhere.

What were your shift points and 60' times? Poor traction = bad runs. It was your first time so make some adjustments and try it again.

60' in 2.4 second. Shifting at 6.5k ish.
Im going to update the AFC tomorrow. Its still on stock map. I will try the FMIC map.
And get some more times. Id like to break into 14s... is that possible? Or do i need to drop more money into her before 14s.

2.4 60fts are a problem. whats the elevation of the track?

when i had my stock turbo running 9 psi with a intake hard pipes and meth injection i was running 14's with a 2.0 60ft. I think you just need a better 60ft. a tenth of your 60 it 2-3 tenths in the quarter.

yeah i had ran a 16.2 stock with a 2.6 60ft.

that 10PSI is going to make a difference. What is a Trap Speed?

trap speed is the mph you were going at 1/4 mile...

not something you can see on a drag slip... would you need a dyno for that?
But my speeds at the 1/4mile were 84-87MPH
