Some questions

i searched around and i couldnt seem to find my answer.

i was given a box from a friend of mine with two Fosgate 12" Punch Z subs. but they did not come with an amp. he claims that they are 200w subs. now, my other friend has an amp he is willing to sell me, and it is a 500w amp. will this amp be sufficient enough?

you need to know the resistance/impedance of the subwoofers, and there number of voice coils.
Also you will need to know the make and model of the amplifier so that you can look it it and determine what impedance it likes to run at.

Otherwise just role the dice and hope it doesn't catch fire.

theyre 8ohm subs. and i have no idea what the number of voice coils is.

the amp is a Directed 500w amp. it says 300/2 on the front but i cant seem to find anything that is model-name-specific.
