Big time repost. But, every time I see it I can't help but think how ******* stupid and reckless both drivers were in this video. One might argue that they are skilled drivers, but they took so many chances with people who didn't ask to be involved, much less even know that this kinda thing was taking place around them.

It is interesting that the driver in the M5 has a forward-facing camera to catch the asshole action while he is driving down the road. However, without a rearward-facing camera we are not able to see how many accidents he might have caused in his wake as the two cars weaved in and out of traffic surprising the s*** out of all sorts of drivers.

Now don't get me wrong. I thought that it was exciting to watch and I definitely rate this video high on the sphincter-puckering meter. However, what they did was just damn crazy and irresponsible to the extreme.

I'll get off my high horse now and don my flame-retardant suit.

Actually I'd have to say they were inadequately skilled. A skilled driver would know better than to drive like that through a densely populated road of unaware and only basic skilled drivers. A skilled driver needs to be able to predict how other drivers are going to react and what the surface conditions are like. Neither of which can be done on a public road with average, unaware drivers on it. Even on a race track where everyone is a skilled driver and the road surface is prepared, there are mishaps. But atleast those drivers know what is going on and accept the risks.

What this video shows is two people who think they are skilled but in reality are not. And unfortunately this type of driving on the public roads is not restricted to europe.

Attempting to box them in or slow them down is just as bad as them racing. Because it can cause a wreck involving you or others, due to the racers not being able to slow down in time or trying an even more aggressive and risky manuever to get around you. Better to maintain your speed and position and use the cellphone to call the police.
