The best car i have ever owned period.. Oak tree mazda is a great place guys. i got the sport pkg for 21,700+tax.. Very nice people.

First thing i notice was the steering feel and the brakes. Omg.. This car handles like nothing i have driven. Freaking calipers are HUGE. My 2006 wrx sucked. Loose steering, bad brakes and they were 4 pot calipers. Handeling was junk. Why the **** i payed 25k for wrx and had to spend another 4k for sways bars, springs, TBE and AP and other bs that never ******* helped the car in any way. Well stg2 was very good. even at stg 2, the wrx was slower than a stock ms3.. The quality you get in mazda is just breath taking. 6 speed, tcs, vsc, mechanical LSD.. I could go on and on. the wrx.was slow and never handled like stock ms3..AWD is very good, But i dont live in tahoe or where it snows. But the new 2008 sti is so sexy.. It better be for $37k. I will post some pics later.. I got the black..

WOW I LOVE THE STEERING FEEL .....SO TIGHT AND PERFECT..

Yep, the same day I test drove a ms3, I tested a 06 wrx. NO comparison. I knew right away that the ms3 was a superior car.

But try and make this argument on NASIOC or wrxclub, you'll get murdered. (chair)

Thank you all.. Sorry about the bad language, But it realy hurts having a wrx thats 25k+4k in after market parts and not perform.

The only upgrade that i'm goign to do is CAI. Their is nothing else this ca needs. NOTHING!

WOW what a car. On the other hand my baby has a mazda6 sedan. So when is time to have kids we also have nice family sedan.

I like my 06 wrx just fine. Paid less than 23k brand new, and with $700 in mods (tanabe turboback exhaust and enginuity ecu reflash), ran a 13.4 1/4 mile time with a 1.80 60 foot. Sure the handling could be better, that's easily fixed with some swaybars and a spring/damper combo.
But everyone's entitled to an opinion, so if the ms3 is more of what you were looking for in a car, then I'm happy for you.

WRX is better for dirt in stock form, or if you get a suspension it kicks ass at autocross.

My '02 WRX was a great car. APS clubsport (232awhp-237ft-lb) plus Cusco adjustable coilovers + carbotech pads. The thing was a blast. Gas mileage sucked and the interior was kind of cheap. I think it would be a battle to keep up on the track with my old modded wrx with my stock MS3.

The MS3 is impressive though, and it's stock. I'm just going to change the pads for my first track day with it. Maybe run some different tires.

Oh and congrats on the Ms3! I definitely like the Mazda a lot better than the rex.

Thank you..

I'm not saying subaru is bad car but for the money you pay, you dont get any performance.. Tell me how the car is stock? slow. I almost got beat by a nissan ser sentra.. Not everyone wants to go fast from the line. But you have to spend so much money in to the wrx suspension. At least easy 5k, maybe more. Is not just sways bars and spring and coilovers. It is also all the bushings, control arm and lot other stuff. You rather buy sti from the start. When th say wrx is a bang for the money is not. People think about the awd only. Stage2 power is very good. Had titek catted dp and ap. But still when i'm driving the car on the freeway it does not pull as hard as a stock mazda 3. I had the wrx and now the mazda. The driving the mazda is so much easier. Going from a-b very fast is so easy. The thing i realy hated about the rex was the steering was so loose and when you went fast it was unstable. 2nd the handeling was s*** for stock, but grip is good because of awd. 3rd, Subarus 4 pot brakes are not even close to my mazda's brake. you know it also. I dont know if you driven the ms3, But if you have not, Drive it and you will love this car. Amazing machine Period. We pay for everything that comes on the car from the start, So why do you have to spend more money to make a better?

I agree stock for stock the ms3 performs better than a stock wrx. But, the fun for alot of people is modifying a car to make it perform better. The wrx has one of the biggest aftermarket parts selections around, probably only the civic has more. 12 second or better 1/4 mile times are only a turbo swap away, being a stock sti turbo, or even bigger turbo such as a fp green. The 06 wrx has the sti aluminum control arms stock. As far as bushings needed to be changed, aftermarket steering rack bushings I've heard improve steering feel alot.
