Well guys and gals,
I gave up. After 11 months of pure "T" Hell, I sold it with 12,000 miles to a CarMax outta town.
This never wrecked, Titanium, bought brand new by me and taken care of better than the book - Mazda 3 's' 5-door ,,,,, just refused to be a good car. (dunno)
In 11 months....I put up with....
14 interior rattles, pops, creaks and other crazy loud noises involving the..... Dashboard, Sunroof Glass, Sunroof Sunshade,Headliner, Passenger Seat, Door Panels, All 4 Windows, hatch door, cargo management system, rear hatch struts, clutch arm and more...
Mechanically It had to have......
all rear brakes replaced, front brake calipers replaced, drive shaft bolts replaced that just "fell" off for no apparent reason, rear shocks and struts replaced, rear hatch struts replaced, front suspension components worked on, all hydraulics on the clutch system replaced (still not right either), transmission work, clutch switch replaced and a/c work.
When I sold it...the power steering was erratically acting like it was "not" power steering and more noises and "thuds" from the front end were starting. And "yes" there is even more....but you get the idea.
I was working with two dealers and they either could not or would not fix it and Mazda 1-800 customer service basically treated me like a dog.
So like a dog who lost the fight, I went to sell it with my tail between my legs. I did not even look back once when I handed over the keys.
I was really looking forward to this car and had very high hopes for it. I thought it would be a better car than my Protege'5,,,boy was I wrong. I missed that Protege'5 a lot recently. This 3 and everyone associated with the Mazda Corporation has really let me down in the last few months.
So, "so long" Mazda and you guys and gals on this website. I am going with another manufacturer. I know some of you love your cars and the way they treat you and I hope they serve you well....They just did not with me.
But hopefully you will understand why "I' must move on. I know some of you will be pissed for me saying this about these wondeful cars......and I do believe there may be some well built ones out there....But as an owner of one, I have the right to tell my story.....so forgive me those of you, whose cars are o.k. I really hope they stay o.k for you so you do not have to go through even a fraction of what I went through. :'( I probably wont be back on this website after I submit this thread. So there is no need to respond to this.
Good Luck and Safe Travels to each and every one of you!
-Peace
