and i'm getting the most annoyed i've ever been working on a car. i can't even find all 5 clips... i only found the two right behind the front emblem. and i can't get to the screws that hold the bumper onto the fender. i've already taken out 4 clips on each fender liner and i still can't get it. can someone shed some light? please? ****. where are the other clips? good lord, haha.

sorry i posted it 100 times. now i got the bumper off, but i can't get the freaking fog light wires off. there's so many clips. ugh.

are you trying to take the bumper off? If you are you need to stop now cause you don't have to remove the bumper. just jack up the car and remove the tire and fender linning and you can install the intake.

Just disconnect the cable to the fog lights, there is a connector right there.

ok guys. i realized i didn't need to take off the bumper, so i put it back on and just took off the wheel. and yeah, there is a clip but the wire runs from the bumper to the headlight and is clipped in a bunch of spots. anyways, my bumper doesn't sit right where it meets the driver's side headlight and filter. its clipped in all the way. i don't know what the deal is. anyways, not sure if i feel 20 horsepower but it seems to flow better. and the sound and mpg alone is worth $240. i'm getting atleast 3mpg better in the city already. i only drove around for about an hour or so. some hatch was gonna run me until he heard ssssss kksssshhhhh! silly ep. haha.

p.s. the splash guard doesn't need to be broken to fit the filter. you can fit a 10mm inside the front grill openings and get it out. not sure if you guys knew that but i remember someone on here saying they just broke the splashguard.

Its not the splash guard that we had to break its part of the air diverter. It is has a rivet that makes it more difficult to remove in one piece so if you bust the rivet it comes out in 2 and is much easier.

Glad to hear you are happy again about your purchase.

well, i dont know what the air diverter is but we only removed one big piece that is the splash guard. maybe its a splash guard and air diverter. either way, it came out in one piece. i'm going to notify injen that their instructions are a bit overboard. taking off the bumper is annoying and now my bumper doesn't sit right.

thanks man. the turbo is so loud now. i love it. you don't even have to rev anymore, just let it spool for a couple seconds and hit neutral. whpsssshhh. hahahaha. (breakn)

Damn that sucks I was worried about the bumper not going back on straight with that method.

The air diverter can be seen through the grill from the front of the car and it deflect air up to where the air filter was. It is rivited to another section or itself and that is what most are talking about. The splash shield is that huge thing under the car and other then a s*** load of bolts its easy to take off.

Good luck with your bumper just be patient and try again to get it right.

Under the headlights, the bumper has about 4 clips each side. About 4-5 clips on top of the grill and 2 clips that you access by sticking your hand in the grill. Other than the bolts at the bottom and the cables, thats all. Check everything again, probably some clips did not closed properly.
