Ok so I have joined not long ago but have finally had time to post. I think I have had a total of two people approach me to join this site :lol:.

But I wanted to know if anyone has or knows of someone selling their springs off a '94 or '95 R package miata - they are slightly stiffer than the springs in my '92, the problem is finding someone with that rare package selling the springs. I guess I can always ask the guys at MazMart...

Anyone here do autocross? I should be coming out this year for a few events. I was there last year for 3 events, and the three years before that I was out in my silver 2001 subaru impreza, tearing up STS and SM.

if you want to talk about Miatas or Auto-x, find KCBHIW (Kevin). Knows his stuff. He's working on a turbo Miata for a grass roots project right now. He also auto-x Miatas in ES. I auto-x my Pro5 in FSP

where abouts in GA are you from? We try to have montly meets to see each other's cars. the last one we had was in Alabama. Pretty good turn out. [see attached: 1.09MB]

Thanks for the kind words . OH by the way, I am in Woodstock, Ga.

I really dont know who it was that told me to sign up...one guy from a long time ago had a yellow protoge (think it was turbo...maybe not). The other guy came into my starbucks off windward and said he had a miata that he was prepping with a turbo or autocross...I was mega busy with making drinks so I didnt comprehend awhole lot.

The only thing I have really done to my car is add 15" rota slipstreams and slap on a high-flow cat so it would pass emissions other than that, I have been repairing the things breaking from either old age or my abuse :lol:.

The R package is just a base level miata w/ stiffer springs, stiffer struts, larger sways f/r (by 1mm), there are a few other things they come with...a black lip, rear valance, and small decklid wing.

I am usually all around - I go to school @ chattahoochee tech, work in Alpharetta, and have friends all over from Kennesaw, to Roswell, to here in Woodstock.

OH I emailed that guy about his R that he was parting out on miata.net, and he replied saying everything was sold or something to that effect, I have no idea why its still up.

Ill see about coming out friday nite, I think I am working but since I havent been into work in over a week, I forget. I do plan on coming to the March 13th autocross though, Ill be back in stock class from being in csp, since Ill now have tires (free all seasons *potenza 910s* LOL) for my 14" wheels (I really want some more azenis like i had on my subaru ), I wont get slaughtered in csp anymore w/ my stock car .

Whats stock class for a 1.6L es or cs?

I'm sorry to hear about you and your GF, that has to suck.

If all goes to plan, I'll be attending the auto-x that weekend with my turbo GRM Miata. I hope nothing blows up. It'll be unpainted and looking like hell. However, unless I become addicted to this turbo car, I'll be running the remainder of the season in ES with my other Miata.

cool , looks like Ill be getting new magnets for the car so that the tech guy can stop yelling at me for them not being 8" tall. I swear, every event I ran last year he had something to say, but he was like that to everyone.

Yea it blows goats, but what can you do? We are actually still talking, so who knows whats going to happen.

Anyways... what are some good tirepressures to run on 14" half worn potenza 910s? My entire suspension is stock - minus my kyb gr2s...replacement struts are ok for stock class right? Its been a year since I ran competitively and I forgot alot of the rules.

Also I don't know if i can make it to the auto-x that day. I gotta close on my house on march 17 so i gotta have everything ready for it.

P.S. if anyone sees a cheap Miata or MR2 let me know(cheap is like less then $2500). Only thing i care about is that its manual and that i can drive it home.

No, it works fine with mass air in stock location. I haven't noticed any ill effects from it yet. If I rev in nuetral it will stutter a little, but I never usually do that so it doesn't matter.
