I agree with your answer

OH HELL

BESIDES GOD MADE ADAM to SCREW EVE not ADAM SCREW STEVE.......
God didn't make anything, we simply evolved from a lesser being, which inturn, evolved from another lesser being, going down to the smallest of Micro Bacteria.(sorry to keep quoting you, I'm not picking on you, you just seem to have the best things to respond to:D). [to all]I don't really know what causes gay people, but then, what causes straight people? Best question; WHO THE **** CARES??? People are people, some are different in some ways, but in the end, we are all people. And, if these religous groups have such a problem with gay marriage, HAzzah hazzah? yay, great for you, your chruch won't marry them, so who gives a ****? They go to city hall, get married, or some of the accepting churches, and get married...maybe, since the religous groups are so pissed about it being called marriage, it should be change to Bonded or something, but then how do you decide who gets marital status, and who gets Bonded status? All in all, my response to it is, WHO GIVES A ****? let them get married, let them be happy....you(religious groups) want us to respect you and your rights, so respect all the other people, the Athiests, the other religions, the gays/homosexuals, everyone needs to respect each other. Of course, respect is given where respect is due, namely it is not right to respect some people(murderers, rapists, asshole like that). Is this such a hard concept to understand? RESPECT, for more than just a persons feelings, but for their beliefs, and wishes? Well, I think not. And as a completely straight person, i say GO GAY MARRIAGE!!![/all]

the immigration process to Canada isn't as easy as most people find.
And it's a great place, but you PAY for it... Not cheap to live here...

First off I am not religious I grew up catholic and hated it. I am a rebel.. BUT the thing that pisses me off is everything that is traditional is being sliced by many people. There is somethings that need to be left alone. I have no problems with gays. I have many gay friends. If they like getting it in the ass so let them be. I Just feel that traditions are slowly being stripped from the american people. Like Christmas. I like xmas for the present, santa claus, candy canes christmas trees and so on. But lets change it to Holidays. It is christmas. Not holidays.

I say keep some traditions. If you like the ass that stays in the bedroom.....

Canadian can become an american in I think 30 to 60 days. American takes a year and a half....

Last time I checked several religions had holidays in the month of December.

Canada's a strict place for immigration... my friend's lived in Canada about 5 years, and she JUST got her citizenship - and that test was friggin' hard.

The only people that get in really fast and get lots of help are Refugees.. so many refugees.

About your traditional statement... Traditions were based in an ignorant time, when Christianity was the main religion.
The reason why North America (mainly just the US and Canada) have such problems with traditions is because we're just a big mish-mash of cultures, religions, beliefs and traditions. European and Asian countries have been populated much longer, and aren't subject to the same variety that is seen here.
So by imposing YOUR traditions on others, that's pretty brutal. If the main religion was Judaism in 40 years and they abolished the holiday of Christmas, and instead you got Channukah (which is cool, more days off). Lots of Christians would be pissed, but every jew would have THEIR tradition approved at the highest level. You'd no longer have Christmas Specials, but Channukah specials, and 'spin the dreidel' tournaments.

Traditions are based by culture, Canada & the US has probably the biggest amalgamation of cultures in the world, so we're in a tough pickle.

Canada prides itself on being very post-modern and accepting, and being a leader for human rights. So this is an issue that has come up around the world and Canada's taking it on head-on. If the law is passed on a federal level, then we'll be only the 3rd country in the world to have recognized gays as humans, and acknowledging that the Christian church no longer holds the power it used to, and it's values are no longer required in our multi-cultural society.

(btw, nothing against jews in my previous example.. just the first religion that popped up in my head)

I understand what you are saying about melting pot so on and so forth. But if we go to their country and I know Canada has different holidays and what not. Two different countries. But what I was saying before I get way off the slight topic here. If I go to Canada, China, Mexico, Japan and so on I need to follow their culture and traditions yet I do not fit in due to being american. Some culturers come here and we need to change things for them it is Bull s***. As young nations we should keep some traditions before they disappear and these new comers need to follow them as well.

Nobody is coming into your home and telling you what God or gods you can and can't worship. So I don't see what you're getting so bent out of shape about.

OK. It's not like their gonna have buttsex in the middle of the wedding ceremony.(scratch)
