So, a drunk driver crashed into my parked car last night...

I can't really comment too much right now.

So I decide to park my car on the street last night as I would have left for the airport....about 11:30 PM, I hear my alarm going off and a few people on the street....

Neighbor about 5 houses down plows his 1999 Escalade into my Pro5 and my folks' Altima. Guy comes home drunk off his ass, locks himself in the house while the cops are trying to beat down the door. I see the assclown this morning get into his other car and just drive away...I hope nothing but the worst for his sorry life...

I'm on 3 hours of sleep; may have to postpone my trip to Canada now.

I gotta get s*** going here, but figured this would help you all remember to don't ******* drink and drive and respect people's s***.

Cops came, but he wouldn't let them in...if that makes any sense; they eventually went into the house. Cop said his brother (apparently the driver) had taken the Escalade to Wisconsin over the week(end?) and wasn't sure what happened.......not sure what the **** happened...I'm still sorting s*** out (thank God for good neighbors..witnesses, etc).

I could either be super pissed about it, or take care of s*** and carry on with my life...I'm choosing the latter...

Even if you are arrested for drunk driving, you don't lose your license until you go to court and plead guilty or are convicted.

Exactly; I was out getting something from my car no sooner than 1/2 hour before that, so I could have very been in/around it when it happened...

i hope justice is served in due time. his front wheel looks pretty jacked up, so at least he incurred some damage to himself for his stupidity.

you're doing the right thing, let the cops handle it. With all that evidence and witnesses, you can sue his ass for everything he has and get you and your folks new cars and then some.

Still sorting it out (insurance, lawyers to come, etc).

I'm pursuing this all through his policy (same company, State Farm). I'd like to see him living in a box soon over this.

The drunk driving part they can't do much because he wasn't "caught in the act" (i.e. @ 500+ feet away at night, no one could positively ID him...but there's only two assfucks living in the house on the corner there...).

I know; they took it the pound last night too, so more money for his dumb ass to get it out.

I meant hit & run as in 'guy hits your car in middle of night and drives off completely...and you find your car f***ed up the next morning and no idea who did it'

could the cops not still do a urine specimen. Alcohol will still be there and determine close to how drunk he was.
