Snow Day!!!!

Last week they were predicting arctic weather and snow up here in Northern England for the week. Not so certain now. I hear there's snow in Scotland. Maybe later this week.

My P5 is in a garage in North Carolina, though Definite snow and ice there.

I went and got the other 3 snows from cnutucem. Wow what a difference from the summer tires(duh) and a huge difference from the stock all seasons. I was able to go up my parents 200ft untouched 6" of snow covered driveway. I'm going to have to get myself a set for next winter.

yeh snows really do work...with the lsd it will be awesome....i just couldnt get out yesterday..i didnt feel like brunin up my transmission just to go to work lol

I'd love to have an LSD for this car. One day.

The only benefit that a 4wd car will have in the snow is a better ability to get moving. Otherwise, no benefit in braking or turning. Just get a set of steelies and some winter tires if you are having problems driving in this snow.

I came into work in Springfield VA. yesterday on my stock tires and had no problems...you just have to drive methodically. I haven't been able to justify snow tires, but I hear they make a world of difference.

This is very true, however most problems in winter driving are getting moving

Not to mention 4wd is great because you can downshift to slow down with less chances of losing control. That is if you have a 4wd with a manual tranny. Most 4x4 owners forget that they have to stop and drive too fast for the conditions.
