ok guys heres my question... Most of you have seen like show cars ,how the interior is smooth almost looks like it was fiberglassed? like ive seen a few msp and p5's like tht but n e way can i jst sand the textured parts with fine sand paper and itll take the texture away or no? Im talkin aboutht he parts like the dash, upper parts on the door tht arnt fabric and the arm rest u know. help please

Corksport sells a fiberglass dash. Also if you lightly sand and skin coat your A,B,C pillers and other plastic parts you can get that smoothed finished look. On the doors of the protege where its the soft vinyl you can squish yo will have to have that fiberglassed. the cloth on the door you can cover in Vinyl like they use for graphics.
here is the URL for cork sports fiber glas dash

yes you can just sand it --- another member in here did it and it looked sweet -- he said that it was a hell of a lot work -- but i think the finish was worth it --

if you spend the money and have the dash and door panels fiberglassed and save the stock panels it will cost around 1500.00 but the finished product is priceless, the average glasser charges $50.00 hr, paint and all..i'll say 1500, i even seen them airbrushed with crazy stuff, looks sweet. well its a thought..

thanks guys -- i didnt have time last night to look for it --- but thats exactly the one i was thinking --- (drinks)

all you need is to lightly sand with 220 then put a heavey coat of primer then sand again then do a light coat of primer do that step once more and all your texture is gone the reason for not sanding just the plastic is that it will leave little hair that are a b**** to get rid of

thanks SPOOD -- thats right -- its been so long that i forgot that it might leave hairs ---------- Doh!! :)
