smokes like a chimmeny! HELP

or the replacement of the stock exhaust has less back-pressure to hold the seals in place, causing the excessive blow-by to occur.

I had the smoking issue with my first turbo. When it got replaced, it has not smoked since and I have about 3,000 miles on it so far. I have full 3 inch tbe.

[steps up on soap box]
this right here is what bothers me. you admit that the downpipe is the cause of your problem, but yet you want the dealer to replace the turbo? it would be like driving the car without and oil in it, and wanting the dealer to replace the engine. you may not have known that was going to cause a problem, but the fact is, YOU caused the problem. if you want them to fix anything, then yes, return it to stock. if it no longer smokes, thats not there problem. at that point, the car works as designed, with the PARTS IT CAME WITH.

[/steps down]

I completely disagree, in my opinion it is in no way shape or form his fault. IF he manufactured the turbo with bad seals then i would say it was his fault , but i dont think he did so yea not his fault. Sorry man.

/kicks soapbox out from under wannabe. Donezo

..well guys, car went in to Mazda as is(all mods on), they are replaceing my turbo under warantee as well as my transmission! so I should be good to go now....

You left on all your mods and are getting the turbo replaced!? Wow, you have a nice dealer! Dealer here said I'm screwed after I put on my CAI

Mazda is cracking down on this issue, they may ask your dealer to take pictures of your car and ask if they're any mods on the car to boot. Hopefully, they won't ask for these, but in the recent months, they have been denying warranty work on a number of these recently.

Good luck to you!
