Haha i smoked a CRX this week on the track.

Thats a 1.3 liter boosted 1st gen protege against a 1.6 liter V-tech CRX haha.

Sorry about that............V-tec then....I would like to give you guys the specs but i dont have a clue how to translate the mods haha, but i will try.
The car is originally a 1.3i 16valve, but now its a 1.3T 16 valve hehe.

Mods:
-Apex air filter with custom air intake.
-Forge competition blow off valve.
-Nur spec r exhaust system 60 mm bore.
-HKS blast muffler with 120 mm tip.
-Splitfire two spark plugs and plug wires.
-HKS T25 turbo with HKS digital turbo timer.
-Tanabe front mouth intercooler.
-Light weight flywheel.
-Tanabe adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
-Height adjustable coilover kit.
-TWM performance short shifter.
-DBM 261mm brake rotor kit with green stuff braking pads.
-HKS adjustable camshaft pulley.
-BLITZ forged piston kit.
-Tanabe camshaft.
-Other radiator, oil filler, brake fluid caps, and blue hosings.
-Polished valve cover.

Thats about it ,it all comes down to about 160 HP.
This car is constantly under construction, i have been working on it for two years now.

Future plans:
-Ground wire kit.
-NX cryogen system.

And who knows what will follow????!!!!

O i forgot, she runs the 1/4 in 17.6 sec.

03 ES. Injen CAI, Corksport catless exhaust, MP3 ECU, groundwires, shortshifter soon to come, plugs and wires soon to come, header soon to come. Havent' had it at the track since the mods... hoping for low 16s

a high rpm engine isn't built for drag racing...it's a much better road racer and autox car
 
haha, nice kill. i remember mashin around in my little 1.3l turbo 323. that thing actually had some balls for such a little tiny lawnmower engine.
 
With 160hp you should be running faster than 17.6.

The 125hp N/A 1.8LDOHC runs about a 16.5, in sedan form...

he should be mid-low 15s with that car and that engine and a decent driver

unfortunately nothing is the same: (these things affect the performance of the car)
Driver
Altitude, air temperature, humidity
Tires (condition, stickiness)
Engine condition (200k miles never rebuilt, losing compression, etc.)
Drivetrain condition (slipping clutch, etc.)
Suspension condition (wheel hop from aging motor mounts, suspension bushings have too much slack, springs/struts worn out to create too much flex)
Car weight (did he have 100lbs of stereo equipment in his car - dynomat, 15" subs, amps, headunit, larger speakers, etc.)
etc.
etc.
 
Thats just it, my audio install is about 40 kilo's haha, i have four subs installed.But i'm thinking of stripping the car to make it lighter.

unless he had a swap that crx didnt have any vtec...sorry buddy, you beat just a crx. well maybe he had sohc vtec, but thats nothing, not that dohc vtec is anything anyways.
