smart key with sport?

Can i program the lock/unlock functions of a smart key to work with a sport model. i just want the flat key and would use the buttons on it. I dont expect the 'smart' functions to work of course.

I know there are people who have tried to get the standard switch blade key to work with the advanced key system and as far as I know no one got it to work, so my guess is that the 2 systems are incompatible.

Plus the range on those credit card remotes is far less than the switchblade remote.

I wouldn't think so. The two fobs operate on different frequencies, plus the smart key has RFID.
