I don't have an MSP but I do have an MP3. I have run 225/50-15 Yokohama A008 Rs II on 7x15 Fittipaldi wheels at an autocross in FSP. There did not seem to be any clearance issues but I can not tell you what the offset is on those wheels. I got them 10 years ago for my MX-6. Does that help any?

Optional Winter Sizes
Our fitment guide shows optional winter sizes for your vehicle that require a smaller wheel. Please note that these tires will not work with your stock wheels: 14" 15"
You can fit 15's on there just fine. Don't believe what stores tell you, they usually don't have a f'n clue. I got 14's on my mp3. The speed here in town has 195/65/15's on for winter, and the caliper still has space left. Doubt 14's would fit on the speed though. I want to try it though.
I would not go lower than a 45 mm offset if you are planning on using a 15 x 6.5 wheel. A good combo. would be a 15 x 6.5 Volk TE-37 with a 45 mm offset and 225/50/15 A032R tires (24.0" o.d.).
Tire Rack says 15" works, specific 15" wheels that fit: ASA JS1, ASA JS6, SE Fox 2, SE Fox 5. Dunno about the steelies. I'm thinkin' I'm going to try to find a set of P5 wheels for winter...
