Slow Bluetooth Response from Dash Screen & Do Not Disturb

So I just recently purchased a 2014 CX-5 :D Quite happy with it overall.

Few things that's been really annoying me and maybe someone has a fix. Let me know if you are NOT experiencing these issues.
1) When the audio dash system is paired to my phone via Bluetooth, I find most functions that require communicating with my phone to be delayed. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2-X SGH-T989D. Example, if I get a text message, the prompt shows up saying I received a messaging and asks if I want to download the message. If I go ahead and download, it takes forever. Like almost 30 seconds before it downloads ONE message. Another example, if I am streaming audio via Bluetooth to the car from my phone, if I hit "next track", it takes 1-2 seconds before it responds.

2) One of the features available is the "Do Not Disturb" me function. Basically, it turns off prompting you when a text message comes in. When I have the function enabled, about 3-4 seconds after I turn on my car, the system tells me via audio "The Do Not Disturb function is enabled. To disabled, please go to the Setup function..." yadadada. Just goes on and on for like 20 seconds, every time I turn on my car. It's rather ironic the "do not disturb" function is now disturbing me to warn me the feature is on. Anyway to disable this warning?

3) Finally, to further on point #1 above, is there a way to make the system automatically download text messages as I receive them, instead of prompting me every time?

Thanks!

Maybe its your phone. It is kinda out dated. I remember my gs2 was slow while playing over Bluetooth in my home. I have the gs3 now and it plays much better. And now the gs4 is out. maybe try it out with someone else phone and test it out

Thing is, I also tried with a iPhone 4. Same thing. I know the iPhone 4 isn't that new either but two phones exhibiting the same behaviour... anyway, I'll see if I can try a more updated phone.

I have an iPhone 5 and tried it with iOS 6 and iOS 7. Both experience the BT lag of a ~2 seconds as you mentioned.

I had a chance to drive a 2009 Lincoln MKX around Saskatchewan and Alberta for the last week and was happy to notice that the BT would connect to my phone within a second of turning on the car and start playing music from where it had left off. This means that it for sure is not the phone, and only Mazda can fix our issues.

I'm *so* annoyed by #2. Why are you disturbing me to tell me I'm in Do Not Disturb mode!? I'm a bit underwhelmed with the entire nav/Bluetooth package, I must say. For a new car, they could have done so much better,.

Overall my experience is the same - I wonder if someone could get the specs of the head unit (maybe someone from a dealership is here watching the thread?) What I am getting at is that I wonder if the system is under powered? Is there enough base RAM in it to effectively run the OS on it etc. I will reach out to Mazda Canada and see if they are able to point to the information.

The do not disturb mode is to not disturb you WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.
Messages and Phone Calls will NOT come through.
I see no problems when you start the car and it connects to your phone and it tells you that DND is on.
If you have DND on all the time, might as well turn Bluetooth off on your phone!

#2. Yes BT commands are slow. I've used iPhone 4S, 5, HTC One, Nexus 4, 5. Lags a few seconds.
It sucks especially when you're trying to watch a video since it's out of sync.

I have a Galaxy S4 and the only real problem I have is how messages takes like a full minute to download, even when I'm stopped. That's kinda ridiculous lol.
