some people were asking to see slo03.5msp's map. wanting to know how he makes the power he does on stock internals and stock turbo. well here it is, hope the link works. (thumb)

Is this correct for his mods?

440's,thunder header, corksport spipe, apex 2.5" catless j-pipe, custom 2.5" cat back, custom intake, ion fmic and a relocated maf 240whp @ 14psi?

Yeah he's running 440's I have to say his car is amazing. I've driven it!!! Plus I was there at the dyno when he made those numbers. Search my youtube for vids of the dyno day!!!

12-14 psi as daily driver with daily abuse!!!! I think he has run this set-up for years as well
 
its not a good idea, but that doesnt mean you cant do it. 12 and up has been done, sometimes its people who know what theyre doing, sometimes its idiots who blow up, and the worst are idiots who have dumb luck and still get to keep their engine.

how did you sink 4k into an engine without building it? did you get stage 3+ heads and cams? full blueprint and balance?
 
going over ten psi is like walking a feild of landmines, u can make it safely to the otherside, or u may not.\

its mostly all in the tuning.

my guess is that he means 4k in mods towards preformance, which actually isn't too much if you think about it, I know that just for my smic/cai/hardpipes was $1k right off the bat, that was before I had to get my hard pipes fixed when the ass the tried to weld my bov flange on there screwed up, and the $200 extra for T bolts and couplers and the extra $150 to fix the pipe.. and there's a lot more money into the "engine part" after that as far as preformance parts.. but like I said, that's my guess

ya that's what I was thinking, yudkib thought you had 4k in the actual engine not in the car lol..
btw though, for $4 that is a pretty good amount of stuff, wish my total cost so far had been a little cheaper but oh well, there still lots of stuff to go into the car
 
so what how much boost do you think I can safely run? Unichip set my boost controller for 14 psi and I'm sending it back to have it programmed for 11 psi. I'm running 8-9 psi just from my mods

So....how much power is he making?
 
besides 440 injectors, and what mods he had from what i read on previous post. I have alot more done to my car, but i have not flipped the switch for unichip controlled boost. But my car is pretty dang fast running 9psi
 
^^ unless you have a donor engine handy and the money to go forged, I would not go above 10psi no matter what on the stock internals, he chooses to go above that, and it's a miracle he has not blown his engine up a long time ago lol
