Sliding door weather stripping

Just a word of caution, don't push the slider open using the A pillar of the sliding door. I did this by accident after I opened the door and one of the little buttons that hold the vertical piece of weather stripping poped off. The buttons/rivets are tiny (smaller than a pencil eraser) and impossible to find when they do!! now I have to go to the dealer to get my first replacement part!

just go test drive a 5 and take a pair of pliers with you :-)

They might get a little suspicious when I drive up in a 5 asking for a test drive ;-)

seriously, they pop out really easy, don't need any tools to remove!

Yup, if you look at the weathershipping very carefully, you'll see the little hole where the button/rivet top fits into. Just gently work it back into the weather stripping and then pop the other end into the hole in the door.

It's the same weather stripping configureation as the Mazda3.
