mpk;4734672 Speaking of Rally Armor: has anyone retrofitted their mud flaps to our Speed6's? (sorry to get off topic -- slap my wrist said:i will be buying a set soon, the unniversals look huge, but they have speed3 sized and i assume the wheel wells are similar enough to rig to the speed6 they are smaller and less atrocious (like the ones fitted to subies). i will take dimensions and probably do aluminum versions maybe blacked out diamond plate with some sort of side skirt diffuser incorporated.
it wont be for a couple months, i'd have to make sure these things stay on before i give them to you guys + i have to get carny approval here at the circus.
The piece you all are speaking of was totally missing when I purchased my car (the dealer quoted me $400 something dollars to source it and install it).
Did that include Vaseline?
They told me I would have to supply not only the vaseline but the knee/elbow pads, too. It was craziness!
Hey Guys, my skid plate destroyed last year when the dealer forgot to tighten the front fasteners and after highway speeds the air forced the front down and it caught on the ribs in the road and disintegrated it. The part from Mazda is 400 dollars however if you go to Montgomery Mazda's online website you can get it shipped to the door for around 200 bucks. I got it from them and it was incredible. +1 for Montgomery Mazda! I can't find the part number but if you search under Mazda 6 and then click on Radiator Support, click radiator support again and then it's called the undercover. It took me forever to find this. Montgomery Mazda FTW
Just looked at this on the site. Almost looks like the 6 and MS6 are the same.
Oh, btw, I've seen the RA flaps on our cars, and they look awful. Save your cash.
I'd rather have some body painted, molded smaller mudflaps on the car.
if you mean bright red flaps on a ricer mazda6, ive seen that too (does look awful). but i also have a black car and would be getting the black w/ grey logo, so you wouldn't see it without actually paying attention. i like the way they look on the 3 because those are half the width of the normal size to match our small width'd wheels. if you have pics from a ms6 i'd like to see.
Most productive post in the thread. Thank you good sir.
Your welcome. Every once in awhile I'll do something that benefits most people. However usually I open my mouth and a bunch of s*** just comes out.
You just described my future brother in law. Your name isn't Joe, is it?
