Siruis offer

I'm having trouble...I'm on the phone now and JOE tells me they are all gone.....

(braindead (wow) Not sure.....whats going to happen.....Still on phone.

where do I find the freebee card? or whatver...I want Sirius seriously bad...is this offer only good today? Cause I might call tomorow...would that be ok, or would I get the run around for another year?

OK I got off the phone with Joe. ex6453

Couple of things:
Amy is NOT a manager
Joe knows about the offer but didn't at first.
Seems like info is not pushed around very well at all.

Joe says they are getting new units in that are compatable with our systems on Thursday and Friday. Joe is NOT working on Thursday. So call Friday and get the offer.

i just called, talked to denise, she knew what i was talking about. ships tomorrow, 3-5 days it'll be here she said. neversober (chris) said he talked to jen and she had to ask a manager but got everything worked out

i called, was very easy, only question is if we were supposed to get free installation or not, not that its needed, but i have heard both sides say different things

they asked if i wanted installation, i said no, i'm guessing they charge for it but i didn't ask, i don't want other people touching my car

I tried jumping in on this offer way back in April. Bottom line, Canadians don't qualify, its illegal to have satelite radio from the US in Canada...

We got everything else, including HBO and Playboy... wtf ????

If anyone from Kanuck land can figure out how to get this, I'd love to know how you did it!!!
Simple really....just be creative

its not illegal to have the sat radio, its illegal for them to sell it to Canadians

its not to hard to figure out, make up a fake US address if you have to, they will activate it based on your CC anyway :)

Two things:

1. I just signed up.

2. The Canadian issue is this: The CRTC (the government agency in Canada that regulates radio and TV) does not allow Sirius, XM, DirectTV and the like. Most people I know that live near the US border get a Mailboxes Etc. address for the bills and sign up anyway. Satellite TV was a big business in CA. until recently when they started to crack down on folks with the dishes hanging off the house. The CRTC is currently holding hearings on creating a Canadian satellite service that CHUM Group and Standard/Corus are trying to get for themselves.

Not to be a snit or anything...but Section 9C of the radio communication act says that its illegal for someone to decrypt satellite signals from any one other than a authorized provider.

This is under apppeal but right now it illegal to use or sell equipment to gain access to satellite services from Sirius..

But anyway to get this you need a US ship address to get the goods fire them to canada and then activate online

This is correct.....Chum and Standard are trying to get a license to be a authorized provider of satellite radio.

In a article I read it is estimated that 30,000 canadians subscribe to Siruis through the " grey " market

Mp3's came with a Sirius ready head unit as well (part of the sales pitch). ;) Figure it may be all one in the same with the Speeds; maybe not. Isn't the receiver the freebie part anyway? If you have a head unit and receiver, and have to pay for the service, what's free?
