Sirius Radio

Hey everyone. I am new to the forum and I just bought my M3 the other day. I know that it is Sirius Ready but I did not get the sirius package. Can someone please tell me where i can get the Sirius connections for the M3. I want to install this my self. I checked with the dealer but they seem a little steep in price. Let me know if this is possible.

I have never looked in to an aftermarket plug-in for the sirius but considering it uses the stock deck in the MZ3 I would say that the only way you'd be getting sirius with the stock look and not a sepetrate reciever would be to go thru the dealer. Although we ordered our car with the sirius receiver in it so I do not know what other options there are.

i've been looking into this for awhile, and i don't think there's anything else that can be used with the factory radio controls... you can get a PIE and hook up one to the aux input that gives you, but... (blah)

Don't know if this helps, but here are the instructions for the RX-8. The Mazda3 would be similar but the various locations of the items may be in slightly different places.

Well i guess i will keep looking around. Why would the damn thing have a SAT button onthe radio if its not available... that seems a little wierd to me. thanks for all the input. That link doesn't work... I really would like to read that. please post a new link if you remember where it was. Thanks again and if i find any good news on this topic, i will post it again.

it lists at $399, but i've seen them for $320... still 'spensive...

Was a factory Mazda sirius radio kit or was it an after market kit. Did someone at the dealer ship do it or did you have to purchase it and take it to another person to install it. Let me know where you bought it from. I hope everyone had a great New Year......

i have a whole different dash than the normal mazda's, look at it in cardomain.com, my username is m3hoss, it has pictures, still don't have the sirius pics up yet, but it is installed now, sounds great
