Side marker lights?

I've noticed in almost all of your pics a set of front side marker lights behind the front wheels, which I DON'T have on my '02 Protege5. did they start mid-year or in '03? I love the look of them and trying to figure out if they're an easy or difficult add on.

Pretty sure they came with the "Refresh" package in mid-'02. I know there's an installation guide somewhere, but keep in mind you'll be drilling into your fenders. (omg)

I think he is speaking of the markers that are up by the side mirrors, the ones on the fender were standard on all models, but yeah, you'll have to cut into your body and I don't know that those markers had lights or if they were just reflectors (I have an 02 manufactured in oct 01), just have the lighted markers down on the fender (in front of the front tires)

they are part of the 02 mid-year refresh. i've got them, but i'm looking for someone with an mp3 to trade their amber ones for mine. and by "looking," i mean sitting on my ass wishing someone would trade with me.
