Show Off Your Strut Bar

This is probably a dumb question, but here it is anyways : After the installation of a strut brace, is an alignment nessacery? I was wondering that because of the installation requiring that you remove the all those shock tower bolts to mount it(correct?).

you will not need an alignment if you install it correctly (with the car resting ON the ground!)

Kinda off topic, but is there any noticable handling advantages to getting am aftermarket front strut bar? I can see that the 3 point one would make some differences because it has an extra anchor point at the firewall. But I'm not sure the normal ones would, unless the stock one flexes under hard cornering, which seems to require a lot of force.

Yes, I admit the ones shown here are much nicer looking than the stock one. :D

well, there is a difference if your adding the stock p5 or mazdaspeed strut bar to a stock dx/lx/es. it stiffens the front end up a little. i slid around a corner just messing around with it earlier today, but it was in an empty parking lot. here are some pics. also, if any dx/lx/es owner needs help with needing the brackets, i have them all. the cruise control needs 2 brackets for the install.

i just realized something...

rodscali's cusco bar.
is it installed the right way? mine is facing the other way, along with kevs. the bolt faces the firewall and the allen wrench side faces out. rodscali's is the opposite...

hmmm. i guess there is not right/wrong way?

the orientation of the bolts that hold the bracket and bar together don't matter.

I just noticed that, I don't it matters, but it looks better with the Allen Wrench side facing out. Yeah, I fudged that install up :D
